Welcome Message

2nd International Symposium on TECHNETIUM and other RADIOMETALS in CHEMISTRY and MEDICINE
Bressanone (Bolzano) – Italy September 10–13, 2014

Dear Colleagues,
on behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 2nd International Edition of the Symposium on Technetium and Other Radiometals in Chemistry and Medicine (TERACHEM 2014), which continues the long tradition of the previous Symposia on Technetium and Rhenium in Chemistry and Nuclear Medicine. As a unique trait, the TERACHEM Symposium focuses on the recent advances in radiometal coordination chemistry, and on the new applications of radiometal-containing molecules in pre-clinical and clinical imaging and radiotherapy.

Beside the traditional Technetium-99m and Rhenium-186/188, the Symposium will offer plenary lectures and presentations on Gallium-68, Copper-64, Zirconium-89 and radiolanthanides, among others. During the three days of the Symposium, young scientists and students will have the opportunity to engage in scientifically exciting discussions with experts in the field in an informal setting.
As in the previous VIII editions, the conference venue will be Bressanone (BZ), a charming town located in northern Italy, between the Garda Lake and the Austrian border.

The Bressanone area offers spectacular views of the Dolomites and attracts numerous visitors every year with its world-famous winter sport facilities, beautiful hiking tracks, ancient castles, and cozy villages.

We look forward to seeing you in Bressanone (BZ), Italy, in September 2014!
